In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring successful project delivery, maintaining coding standards, mentoring team members, and aligning development efforts with the company's strategic goals and objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Provide technical guidance and make architectural and design decisions aligned with best practises.

  • Review code to ensure quality, maintainability, and adherence to coding standards.

  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for the team.

  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain high-quality software solutions.

  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.

  • Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and performance optimization for reliability and security of software applications.

  • Break down requirements into actionable tasks and ensure proper workload distribution within the team.

  • Monitor progress, identify risks, and take proactive measures to ensure timely delivery.

  • Conduct technical assessment to evaluate the suitability of proposed solutions, identifying potential risks and mitigation strategies.

  • Provide input on timelines, priorities, and feasibility.

  • Ensure smooth, reliable, and error-free releases.

  • Validate system compatibility and performance.

  • Support the resolution of complex issues and solutions in the ticketing system.

  • Promote best practices such as code reviews, documentation, and testing standards.

  • Contribute to the improvement of development processes, tools, and methodologies (e.g. Agile/Scrum).

  • Support knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or any other related field.

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Software Engineer.

  • Proven experience in leading a development team.

  • Proficiency in more than one of the following technologies: C#, React, JavaScript, .NET, Oracle, SQL, or other related technologies.

  • Strong understanding of software architecture and design principles.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication and teamworking skills.
