In cooperation with their business partner, a proprietary trading firm developing high-frequency trading strategies for power markets, we are seeking motivated candidates interested in joining their international team. Responsibilities:
Provisioning and configuring servers, OS instances, and network devices
Supervising and verifying hardware changes, working with on-site remote hands
Enhancing and developing system automation and orchestration
Maintaining a working software environment for custom applications
Integrating and maintaining network visibility software suites interacting with open source, SDN, and commercial off-the-shelf solutions
Identifying potential system and networking reliability issues
Researching, evaluating, and testing cutting-edge hardware and software
Requirements:
2 years of hands-on experience with Linux administration, with a focus on networking and storage
Good knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, and switching in open-source environments
Strong troubleshooting skills in OS, hardware, and network-related issues
Experience writing solid, clean, and maintainable Bash and Python code
A penchant for deep technical dives and problem-solving on all layers of the stack
Proactive attitude to addressing reliability issues and an aptitude to identify performance bottlenecks
Solid understanding of bare metal and its relationship with the higher levels of the stack
Laser-sharp focus required for remote work
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Desire to set goals and work in small, self-managed teams, in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
