Skills, knowledge, experience required:

  • An expert knowledge on Microsoft SQL server with HA/DR support as main DBMS technology currently in use;

  • Current and in-depth knowledge and practical working experience of Microsoft Windows server operating systems (latest versions) in a LAN-based client-server environment using Active Directory Services/LDAP;

  • Practical and recent working experience of Unix/Linux operating systems, as well as MS Windows Servers.

Desirable:

  • Basic understanding of Oracle, MySQL and PostgreSQL Databases Administration.

Duties/role:

  • Performing routine installation, re-configuration, and backups of databases and related products in on-premises and cloud environments;

  • Developing and configuring tools to enable automation of database administration tasks;

  • Defining and implementing an upgrade strategy to keep the DB platforms up to date.
