We are seeking a Data Engineer to collaborate with our client, a Norwegian financial company offering various products, including insurance and refinancing. Our customer is developing an application that allows you, among others, tos easily pay invoices. It also allows refinancing loans, making loans, or even brokering insurance for any purpose.

Requirements description

• Minimum of 5 years of commercial experience as a Data Engineer.

• Advanced proficiency in Python programming (including Django framework).

• Solid knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Hands-on experience working with Data Lakes and Microservices.

• Familiarity with container orchestration, preferably Kubernetes.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of Golang.

• Experience with Looker, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, Protobuf, and Celery.

• A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or currently pursuing one).

Your responsibilities

1. Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining system architectures to ensure optimal performance and scalability.

2. Implementing ETL data pipelines to enable efficient data processing and integration.

3. Creating and optimizing data processing workflows to streamline data management.

4. Preparing data for predictive and prescriptive modeling.

5. Finding hidden patterns using data.

6. Using data to discover tasks that can be automated.

7. Developing robust and scalable data solutions to meet business and technical requirements.
