As an expert with a strong SAP Basis background, you will support an exciting Public Cloud transformation project. You will work with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) services, ensure seamless integration with on-premise systems, and contribute to the administration, monitoring, and maintenance of both cloud and core Basis environments.

Your tasks

• Set up, configure, and manage SAP BTP subaccounts, entitlements, and service instances.

• Administer users and roles in SAP BTP Cockpit, IAS, and IPS.

• Monitor and troubleshoot SAP BTP services (Integration Suite, Build, Extension Suite).

• Ensure connectivity between BTP and on-premise systems via SAP Cloud Connector.

• Support incident resolution, root cause analysis, and issue documentation.

• Automate administrative tasks using scripts or SAP tools.

• Contribute to SAP Basis operations: installation, configuration, system copies, client administration, kernel upgrades/patching, transport management across SAP landscapes, background job monitoring, and backup/recovery processes.

• Perform user and role administration in both ABAP and Java stacks.

• Monitor system performance and database health via SAP Solution Manager or other monitoring tools.

• Troubleshoot system errors, dumps, and logs (e.g., ST22, SM21, SM37).

• Collaborate with infrastructure teams on OS, database, and network-related topics.

• Take part in system audits and ensure adherence to security and governance standards.

• Document procedures and share knowledge within the team.

What you bring with you

• Fluent in written and spoken English, with strong communication and presentation skills.

• Proven expertise in SAP BTP architecture, services, and admin tools, along with solid knowledge of SAP Basis administration (NetWeaver, S/4HANA).

• Hands-on experience with SAP Public Cloud systems and user/role management in BTP Cockpit, IAS, and IPS.

• Familiarity with SAP Cloud Connector, Launchpad, Integration Suite, Build, and Extension Suite.

• Ability to handle system monitoring, troubleshooting, system errors/logs (ST22, SM21, SM37), background jobs, database health checks, kernel upgrades/patching, transport management, and backup/recovery across SAP landscapes.

• Experience with system copies and client administration, as well as user/role administration in both ABAP and Java stacks.

• Skills in automation of administrative tasks (scripting/SAP tools) and readiness to document procedures.

• Understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and awareness of security & governance standards.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with a focus on continuous improvement, user adoption, and researching product improvements or expansion opportunities.

• Ability to manage complex projects, collaborate with infrastructure teams, and demonstrate leadership and persuasive skills when driving initiatives.

• Proactive, self-motivated, and hands-on approach, with SAP BTP or SAP Basis certification as a plus.
